Why Renew the Mind:

Hebrews 5:13–14Hebrews 5:13–14
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. is skillful: Gr. hath no experience 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. of full age: or, perfect use: or, an habit, or, perfection

WP-Bible plugin
“For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”  This is talking about discerning good and evil.  Good and evil starts as a thought and can manifest into action.

Hebrews 4:12–13Hebrews 4:12–13
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

WP-Bible plugin
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  Jer. 17:19Jer. 17:19
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

19 Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

WP-Bible plugin
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  The two-edged sword is the word of God.  When you read and study and meditate on the Word of God, it divides and opens us up to see what is truly inside us — our intent, etc.  Through the Word of God, the Lord convicts and we have a choice to change.  Jer 4:14Jer 4:14
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

WP-Bible plugin
“O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?”  The Word of God washes us and again in Ps. 19:12Ps. 19:12
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

WP-Bible plugin
“Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.”

The Bible also tells us that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Prov. 23:7Prov. 23:7
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

WP-Bible plugin
). So it’s really important what we think on.  It brings bondage, sickness, disease, oppression to even sin or joy, peace, happiness depending what we think.  The Bible says we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  Jer. 23:17Jer. 23:17
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. imagination: or, stubbornness

WP-Bible plugin
“They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.”

To have a victorious Christian life requires that we take the next step and be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We can’t think like the world, if we don’t want the world’s results. As we read in Philippians 4:8Philippians 4:8
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. honest: or, venerable

WP-Bible plugin
, we can choose what to think on.  The opposite of thinking on what’s lovely, just, and of good report is to not think on the things of God and the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:6Romans 8:6
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. to be carnally…: Gr. the minding of the flesh to be spiritually…: Gr. the minding of the Spirit

WP-Bible plugin
says “To be carnally minded is death,” but the next part of that verse says, “To be spiritually minded is life and peace.” It is life and it is peace to think on the things of the Spirit of God.

If we as Christians start thinking about adultery, which is a fiery dart from Satan to get you to sin, thing about the world, money, covetousness, doubt, discouragement, fear and so forth, do you know what will happen in our lives? As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. We’ll begin to act on those things. We’ll begin to play those things out in our lives, and it will destroy our lives. You see, the real spiritual warfare for the believer is really not resisting or rebuking the devil all the time, although there are times that we need to do that.

We need to say, “God, those are wrong thoughts. I need to turn around and renew my mind and start thinking about the things that are lovely, just, and of good report.  Otherwise, the more I play those thoughts that seem like my own, then it takes us to sin, takes us to self-pity, takes us to bitterness, etc.

The more you replay a negative thought coming at you as a fiery dart, then a stronghold can be formed, and now you are in bondage. The Bible says, If we will draw near to God, He will draw near to us. If we resist the enemy, he will flee from us.  There are times you will flub up, but the good news is we have the power to choose, resist or make it right. You need to say, “I’m going to resist what I’m letting the enemy do to me now. I’m going to sit down and open the Bible, and I’m not going to just read some words on these pages, but I’m going to connect with the God behind these words. I’m going to let my mind be stayed upon Him. And, Lord, this is what You say about me. You say that I’m forgiven. You say that I’m cleansed. You say that nothing can separate me from Your love.”  That is spiritual warfare!

Physiological Look at Thought, Strongholds, bondage

Strongholds blocks entrance of God’s Word to your life.  To break strongholds you’ll need to come against those fortresses in your own mind.  We are in a spiritual war in our minds.

Renewing the mind breaks down strongholds.  It also puts out fiery darts.  Strongholds in the physiological are branches in the brain called dendrites holding the protein synthesis, the memory.  Those strongholds in the mind are loose branches compared to strongholds in the Lord.  Plus, it is proven to be shadows over the branches.

It takes 28 days to renew the mind and as you stand and cast down, refuse to replay negative thoughts of any type, the dendrites start to shrink back and die out and at the same time new dendrites are forming that I call strongholds of God.  The protein synthesis does not go away but lays dormant until you replay that thought to regrew the dendrites holding the memor.  That is why it is important not to replace past failures, hurts, etc.  It is an opportunity to forgive if feelings of resentment, sadness, etc.

The Bible tells us in Romans 8:6Romans 8:6
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. to be carnally…: Gr. the minding of the flesh to be spiritually…: Gr. the minding of the Spirit

WP-Bible plugin
that as we do, we will see the transformation the life and peace of God gives, as our minds are stayed upon Him and the things of the Spirit. Think on these things, my brethren, and walk this day in the liberty and freedom that Christ has purchased for you.

Trials and Tribulations — 3

Continuation of Trials and Tribulations

It cannot be about people but only the Lord regardless what fiery darts coming out of others as accusation, attacking your reputation, betrayal, destruction, etc.  You gotta stand, even in weakness, that God is for you and not against you and that he is all your all.  Even though it feels like you are walking in the shadow of death what I call the dark night of the soul but to not fear no evil according to Psalm 23:4Psalm 23:4
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

WP-Bible plugin

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”  You cannot allow people to rule you but God to rule you.

Many times it does feel like affliction of the soul or your emotions.  Your emotions do go to helter skelter but you gotta hang on that the Lord is doing a new thing and will deliver you according to  Psalm 34:19Psalm 34:19
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

WP-Bible plugin

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

and that God will supply all your needs emotionally and physically according to Philippians 4:19Philippians 4:19
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

WP-Bible plugin

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” and that  2 Corinthians 4:162 Corinthians 4:16
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

WP-Bible plugin
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”

You have choices to make in the dark night of the soul.  That means, determining not to go bitter but count it all joy like I said earlier and praise the Lord like Paul did in Jail and the Lord delivered him.

Otherwise, if you don’t forgive, two things can happen, 1. have feelings of insanity and torment or develop sickness and disease.  Because a broken heart dryth the bones, that is where your immune system is.

Accusations will come that are not true.

I’m sharing this part so whoever reads this going through the fiery darts will realize these are trials and tests of character.  I had to see I could not defend myself but trust God regardless where it took me.  Where I got messed up at first is I thought if I do the right thing everything would correct itself but that is not the case.  Many times it can fall apart regardless how you try to be honorable not talking, not giving any accusation, or anything.

The accusations from those you care about, do break your heart.

Yes, when going through betrayals, accusations and rejection,  you didn’t always do the right thing.  I made many mistakes in this friendship.  Through my brokenness, I had to see and look at my heart and realized I made a lot of mistakes and that I cannot blame the other person but I had to take responsibility and go to the Lord for forgiveness and healing.

Many times friendships are severed forever which do break your heart deeply.  But God has a greater purpose in all of it.  You have to trust God and believe and move on and not get hung up in the past of what if. I had to stand in faith and rejoice regardless of the outcome according to Romans 5:2–5Romans 5:2–5
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

WP-Bible plugin

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

I had to see it was a trial and do what the Word says to do and that was to rejoice in our sufferings… A very different concept when your heart is bleeding but did it because it produces endurance, character, hope without shame.  I was doing it out of obedience of being broken and realigned correctly to the Lord.  We serve a jealous God.

In my past, I used to complain about everything.  No more.  I made a decision from what I’ve learned in the last two years was to rejoice in all things regardless how it appeared but to put on my spiritual eyes and stand on Hebrews 11:1Hebrews 11:1
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. substance: or, ground, or, confidence

WP-Bible plugin
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Since then, I have found myself again.  I had lost myself and didn’t even know who I was but now I’ve found myself and moving forward with new people and enjoying life to the fullest.

When you go through these trials and tribulations you come out gaining new wisdom according to Romans 11:33Romans 11:33
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

WP-Bible plugin

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!”

When you do go through trials and tribulations it is self dying like Christ.  You are only partaking a very small portion of his suffering but it opens your eyes to what he really and truly went through in killing your flesh to be more like him.

Galatians 2:20Galatians 2:20
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

WP-Bible plugin

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Dying to self is a good thing.  Trials and tribulations brings up the nasty stuff so that you can crucify it with Christ.  In fact it is the best way to deal with the flesh when you go through trials and tribulations.

Trials and Tribulations — 2

Trials and tribulations walkthrough

Yes, the pain is deep, loosing reputation, betrayal especially when the other person believes you’ve betrayed them because God tells you to follow him and not them.  Even if they believe you made a promise but the other person did not hear the other part I said many years ago that when I got to busy for God, I was going to lay it down and man God made me live up to that.

Unfortunately, me leaving was a betrayal to the other person.  I have to obey His ways and many times he takes people apart and sets them on other paths.  Many times you have no understanding why but did Abraham understand when the Lord told him to leave and go to a strange land?

Through trials and tribulations of all this, the pain, the hurt and the loss, I had to see what Jesus went through when He hung on the cross to give us life spiritually as well as physically.  He came to overcome and I can overcome according to John 16:33John 16:33
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

WP-Bible plugin

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Not only that but the Lord is producing perseverance in me in accordance to Romans 5:3Romans 5:3
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

WP-Bible plugin

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,…”

When you are in a place of preparation and healing and restoration and the waiting, you cannot be anxious but the Lord will guard your heart and mind from the attacks of the enemy or temptations according to Philippians 4:6–7Philippians 4:6–7
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

WP-Bible plugin

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

We serve such an awesome God of the Lord most high and we can count those trials and tribulations as joy according to James 1:2James 1:2
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; temptation: or, trials

WP-Bible plugin

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,”

It is not easy to give up something you love, birthed, and given your heart to and then have to lay it all down.  Not only that but give all the money, equipment and BIH.  I gave it all up according to the Lord Most High.   Some of the ministries have opinions of me that are not true.  They don’t know what took place but that is part of God has to be your all so that you are not concerned about what others think.

In the past, I would try to fix things to only make it worse.  It is better to leave it alone and trust God.  God knows the truth and that should count.  We get in trouble when we try to fix our reputation with man.  Could it be an idol — loved by all man?

Man always ruins others reputations and mine certainly was through several avenues of people — fiery darts. Praise the Lord!

I had to see these were fiery darts of testing according to 1 Peter 4:121 Peter 4:12
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

WP-Bible plugin

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.”

Fiery darts come from people who are the closest to you — friends, family, ministries, etc.  Again I had to remember Jesus on the cross saying Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.  I look that God is testing my heart and my reactions.  I’m forever grateful of BIH for my healing, for the ministry in Lewisville for loving me and accepting me and pointing me in the right direction.  I can truly say I care for all these people regardless if they think of me on earth.  Their opinions do not matter.

As long as I know I’ve done right and areas it was not handled I went to the Lord for forgiveness and know I’m forgiven and move forward.

The enemy wants to stop you and keep you in the past,  but I’m moving forward to the things of the Lord even though I would rather be a bump on the log.  I would have to say these trials has given me a deeper love for people in God’s way of love.

Isaiah 43:19Isaiah 43:19
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

WP-Bible plugin
is what the Lord gave me:

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. ”

I love people, not what they can do for me or fulfill anything in me but because my Lord Jesus Christ loves them as well.

Even though I felt weak and broken I knew I could do all things according to 2 Corinthians 12:92 Corinthians 12:9
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

WP-Bible plugin

But he said to me,

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. “  That is a promise when we feel weak, broken, bleeding inside, etc. we are made perfect in weakness because then it is more of God and me more out of the way.  That is how we are suppose to look at weakness.”

I would have to say my faith was being tested and many times just wanted to give up and part of me just wanted to disappear or be absorbed by the air and not exist.  But, I knew that is what the Lord did not want but for me to get back up and go forward even in my weakness and to count it all joy according to James 1:2James 1:2
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; temptation: or, trials

WP-Bible plugin
–8

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. … ”

My faith has been strengthened.  I’m not the same person.  It now takes a lot to take me down.  I see God in all situations and that he is working it out regardless if I can see it or not like Heb. 11:1Heb. 11:1
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. substance: or, ground, or, confidence

WP-Bible plugin
— I cannot go by what I see but what I cannot see and trust God’s word and praise him for the good result even though it is not happening.

That means standing strong and not being frightened.  You cannot be afraid of your enemies.  When you have a ministry, you have enemies.  Just like Joshua, I was going into new territory and cannot be afraid according to Joshua 1:9Joshua 1:9
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

WP-Bible plugin

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

I really hope this helps someone who is in the ministry and being attacked with fiery darts to not give up.  Because all these things are tests of faith according to 1 Peter 1:71 Peter 1:7
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

WP-Bible plugin

So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ”

Part 3 Trials and Tribulations

Not Against Flesh and Blood

We Wrestle not Against Flesh and Blood

When someone accuses you, is it the flesh attacking you or a spirit working through the christian or non-christian?

Ephesians 6:10–17Ephesians 6:10–17
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. flesh…: Gr. blood and flesh spiritual…: or, wicked spirits high: or, heavenly 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. having…: or, having overcome all 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

WP-Bible plugin
“10 Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power. 11 Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. Not People 13 Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: 16 In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. 17 And take unto you the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God).”

Satan Throws Fiery Darts

Satan throws fiery darts at us through thoughts.  Thoughts that do not line up with God’s character but the opposite of God’s character.

Satan even uses other people to come against us.  They can be Christians and non christians but they come at us as accusation.  We must remember that the people on the earth, though they may seem like our enemies because of the things they are doing to hurt us, are not our enemies. Satan and his fallen ones and demons are our enemy Not People. You must take your eyes off of people and their sin and look to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have to remember that our war on earth is spiritual and not flesh and Not People.  We are spiritual beings in an immortable body.  God is spirit and satan is a spirit and so is his army of demons.

Our war is not flesh and blood with the enemy or with others around us.  We have to separate the person coming at you through accusation or other means, and separate them from their sin.  Jesus died for all men.

Satan is the Accuser of the Brethren

You, as a person, has to recognize the character of Satan is the accuser of the brethren to accuse and when someone is accusing you, through a person, to recognize it is not them but the sin operating in them.  The spirit of accusation is trying to get you to accuse back to become one with someone else’s sin.  We have a choise to rise up and realize we do not wrestle with flesh and blood.

  • Satan’s job is to bring separation in relationship
  • Separation with Yourself
  • Separation from God

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and seen the spirit of the scrambler at work and interpret what you are trying to say differently then what you mean?  An argument breaks out!  It is the enemy coming at you through someone else.

The flesh acts like the flesh and when we decide to walk in the spirit it is opposite of the world’s way.

Satan does not want you and me to know the true character of God, but God’s Word does teach the true character of Satan.  Satan wants you to choose a way of death instead of life.  Choose the flesh way instead of the spirit.

In Galatians 5:16–25Galatians 5:16–25
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. ye…: or, fulfil not 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. affections: or, passions 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

WP-Bible plugin

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

The old man of sin” in us wants to succumb to the powers of sin. This is what we mean by wrestling. We are meaning it is a one-to-one warfare.

We have to crucify the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Demonstrate the fruit of the spirit in daily life

Life in the Spirit

Walk in the Spirit

As Jesus was hanging on the cross He cried out “Father,  forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”(Luke 23:34Luke 23:34
English: King James Version (1611) — KJV

34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

WP-Bible plugin
)
Also while hanging on the cross Jesus endured ridicule from the religious leaders. People mocked saying, ” He saved others. Let Him save himself if he is the Christ of God.” Isn’t this the same thing that the devil said to him when He was in the wilderness, “..if you are the Son of God?”(Matt Chap. 4).  He forgave them for they did not know they were being used by the enemy to bring Death of Jesus.  Jesus knew it was the sin manifesting through them that it was not them but a spirit of sit, the flesh operating through them the people.
