What causes the spirit to sleep and how to name the slumbering spirit symptoms.
Romans 13:11 “Besides this you know what a critical hour this is, how it is time now for you to wake up out of your sleep and rouse to reality. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
It is a condition in which the personal spirit has not fully awakened, so that certain facets of the person’s life simply lie dormant.
Symptoms of a Slumbering Spirit Man:
A slumbering spirit results in the crippling of one’s ability to function.
A person with a Slumbering spirit will have a hard time feeling presence of God in their lives. They desire it but cannot get there.
During devotions, it is hard for these people to feel or experience His love. When they read the word of God, nothing speaks to them and the Word of God is dry.
Revelation from God: Many Christians experience spiritual dreams or see visions. A person with a slumbering spirit very rarely experience spiritual dreams from the Lord.
Time: Someone with a sleeping spirit live only for the moment and expect pain to go away immediately.
Relationships: A person with a sleeping spirit says insensitive things that hurt others. They lack the ability to read people.
The slumbering spirit is sick long and often; hypochondriac. (Prov. 18:14, 17:22) A Christian should enjoy good health.
A person with a slumbering spirit lacks Go od Conscience. The slumbering spirit didn’t think about it until too late.
A person with a slumbering spirit slumbering spirit is never conscious of demonic activity or of the Holy Spirit.
The slumbering spirit causes remorse instead of repentance after sin. I John 3:6, 3:9 . Remorse is self centered.
What happens that a person has a sleeping spirit!
- Not nurtured or touched when first-born
- Did not have parental guidance, build character, education and training for life.
- Did not have someone love them and speak into their lives.
- Did not discipline them.
Many times, when a child is born prematurely, a child is put in incubator. In the past, these children were not touched or held causing their spirit to withdraw. Their spirit man can withdraw.
Also, the father is the person in the family that wakes the spirit of a child. If there is an absent father, the child may fail to wake up. Children need to be held in their dads’ arms. The father is the one who puts an identity in a child especially women. Not only that the security of a child.
If a child grows up without a father, the child will lack consciences and are more prone to adultery. Work becomes more important than the family.
