How to Spiritually Cleanse your House

See your house and possessions with spiritual eyes! The average Christian family may not even be aware of the necessity to cleanse house spiritually from demonic intrusion to experience the peaceful presence of God; otherwise demonic spirits have a right to be in your home depending what you have brought in! That is why we need to know how to cleanse house spiritually.

What are evil spirits? Evil spirits fell with Satan when tossed out of heaven. They lost their bodies forever and cursed forever. One day, according to Revelations, these demonic spirits and Satan tossed into the lake of fire and destroyed forever.

Many times we demonize or bring a curse into a home – legal right to demonic spirits – because of lack of knowledge. Your home is a place of safety and rest, and when something brought into a house, it is an entryway for the demonic to come into your home. In 1 John 5:21 it says…

Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods) from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any substitute for Him that would take first place in your life.”

Given the following scripture, Deut. 7:26 says Neither shall you bring an abomination (an idol) into your house, lest you become an accursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is a cursed thing. Again in Deut. 13:17, Joshua 6:18 – close doors to demonic intrusion through spiritual house cleansing.

The Hebrew word accursed used in these passages is Cherem (Strongs 2763/64), meaning:

Physically shutting, in
A net,
Doom object, exterminate objects

How to do Cleanse House Spiritually? It means a dedicated thing in your house, office, etc. When you dedicate, the net is closed off. Naturally, this implies that demonic access is cut off. What does that mean! Not able to hear from the Lord plus, a demonic spirit over your house blocking the ability to listen to God’s voice. God’s presence prevented when demonic intrusion in your home. When you bless or dedicate your house, you are taking back ownership of the spiritual reality. You are breaking the curses on your house.

Accordingly, the first two of the Ten Commandments address this sin: You shall have no other gods before Me,” and You shall not make for yourself a carved image, (nor shall you) bow down to it. To break these two commandments means that you hate God.

When might a house need to know how to cleanse house spiritually from evil spirits?

Spiritually Cleanse your House Spiritually: Common demonic symptoms include:

continual bad dreams and nightmares
demonic spirits associated with disease
Not able to get well, unexplained ongoing illness or bondage, nausea, and headaches, etc.
behavioral problems with children
Husband and wife arguments
Lack of peace
Financial problems
Seeing “ghosts” or demonic apparitions, an experience particularly common to children
Insomnia, or sleeping too much
poltergeist (movements of physical objects, made by demons)
Foul, unexplainable odors
Atmospheric heaviness
Continued bondage to sin
TVs, radios, and computers that turn on or off by themselves
Pictures or vases falling
Lights coming on
Sounds of people moving or screaming in the night

Demonic evil Spirits attached to objects.

Exodus 20 says that we are not to have any idols and that we are not to bow down to idols. Why is this! Many times the idols, dolls, status dedicated to false gods. Many idols were specifically made for use in religions and for worship. These dedicated status and objects are, in fact, the “other gods” are in reality Satan, the master deceiver. In reality demonic spirits attach themselves to these objects.

This is a list of some common objects to avoid or get rid of that open the door for the enemy – demonic spirits – to have a legal right to your home.

Ouija boards
Due to certain games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Masters of the Universe, Pokemon, opens the door to demonic intrusion.
Artifacts from Buddhist, Hindu, and other eastern religions status, dolls, etc.
Indian, African, Caribbean island art, objects, status, etc. The Thunderbird and southwest Indian art, especially idols, masks, and sand paintings; as well as African art, and art from Pacific and Caribbean islands.
Books on Satanism, witchcraft, and the new age movement
Books or magazines on horoscopes and astrology
Comic books, posters, music, and other materials with images of darkness, violence, or sorcery.
Sun calendars that portray the sun as an object of worship, as in Mexican art.
Art with representations such as snakes and dragons.
Materials related to Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Unity Church, and to other cults such as Freemasonry, and Eastern Star. Masonic aprons, books, or rings.
Good luck charms, amulets and fetishes, crystals, obelisks, pyramids, zodiac symbols, yin & yang signs, etc.
Movies with occult, supernatural images, extreme violence, or gore.
Clothes or jewelry with demonic or new age symbols.
Rosaries
Certain children’s books (with images of animated sorcery, witchcraft, magic, Harry Potter etc.)
Past sins create unholy soul ties (old or sinful relationships before marriage, for example)
Things that have an unknown history or origin
Pornographic materials of any kind (videos, books, magazines, pay-per-view cable or satellite TV channels)
Art with obvious demonic representations, such as snakes, spirits, death, gargoyles, skulls, dragons, etc.
Books that focus on sensuality or destruction (Steven King)
Not able to get free through deliverance.

How to Overcome Incest and Rape (Sexual Abuse) – What Comes In:

Any experience of sexual abuse is an open door to just about everything (bitterness, accusation, rejection, unloving spirits, fear, unclean spirits, shame and guilt, rejection, spirit of self-pity, self-hatred, etc.). What comes in from those experiences is fear and bitterness toward the perpetrator and against self. There are feelings of unclean, unloving spirits from the perpetrator to the victim from incest and rape. The occult is involve in the perversion. You got to get the person to forgive the perpetrator or abuser. If they don’t they will continue to have mental torment and harassment over the event. Matthew 18 is very clear that if we do not forgive, then you fight with torment.

The victim has shame and guilt and blames themselves for what has happened. It comes with the territory and includes self bitterness. Plus the unclean, unloving spirit (self-hatred) sets you up in victimization again. Speaking about the perpetrator, they almost always, (I suppose there can be exceptions), have sexual abuse and perversion in their background, in the generations.

Usually when a person is raped or lived through incest, they suffer from a wounded spirit. Father God wants to heal your heart. It is hard for a person who experience rape, to receive God’s full forgiveness because of the false responsibility. It is a lying spirit blaming you but it is not true making you feel guilty.

The way to get rid of the guilt and shame, self-accusation and a spirit of self-pity is to have the victim repent for their participation in an unclean sexual act even though they did it against their will. The reason for doing this is to legally close the door on Satan so that he can no longer accuse you and make you feel shame etc. Now Father God certainly knows you were a victim and He does not hold you responsible, but the devil will use it to torment you so we want to close the door . And if he comes back after that, you can say that it is under the blood. I repented for that already.

Use Matt. 18:6-7 [Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)] for this and this is one time he prefers the NIV.

Also if the perpetrator is a family member and there is sexual sin in the generations, the victim can take responsibility for the family sin (generational curses) and renounce it in the generations and ask that the generational curse of it be broken. And of course the bitterness and unforgiveness and rage toward the perpetrator.

And you need to take authority over the mimes and break their power so that the memory of it will not stir you up every time you think of it. And if you can’t get it out of your mind then also break the programming that would take you back to that experience.

When one of the goods or underlings is manifesting such as self-pity, then the kingdom of self is being promoted and not the kingdom of God. You are introspecting. Self-pity is a feeling of sorrow (often self-indulgent) over your own sufferings in the past or in the present. It is self exalting your problems. It is time for breaking demonic strongholds.

How can you get past your past pain when in self-pity? You cannot when you are manifesting self-pity. It is people who habitually indulge in self-pity–it’s “injustice collector.” These are the folks who are constantly dwelling on their hurts and hardships–whether real or imagined–and they enjoy thinking about them and talking about them. That is why it is the kingdom of self. A person in self-pity is keeping a record of wrong. God’s way instructs us to walk in the God kind of love, which is “not self-seeking,” and which “keeps no record of wrongs.”

That is why it is very important to repent, pull down the thought that is not of love or have it cast out otherwise, if it stays and becomes habitual, then it is a stronghold. That person is in habitual self-pity and cannot seem to get free.

So, when you act out in anger then you are in sin. When you feel rejected it is a sin. When you are in fear it is a sin and sin is a being. When you look at 2 Timothy 1:7

it says For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So, we see that fear is a spirit. A spirit that is opposite of God are demons that influence us.

Breaking Demonic Strongholds by Renewing the Mind

Any sin will lead to a stronghold (spiritual bondage) if not dealt with. That is what Jesus did on the cross for us was give us a way to deal with our sin. In the old testament, they had to wait an entire year, do sacrifices on animals for blood to cover sin. It was not forgotten like what Jesus did for us on the cross when we repent and it is forgiven and forgotten.

Recognizing Demonic Strongholds

Once a stronghold is established, the enemy influences us in our attitudes and actions, and also distorts our perception of God, other people and situations, causing us to misperceive situations to the detriment of relationships.

When you start spouting off in anger or wrath (because of bitterness/unforgiveness), that is not even you. That is an evil spirit that has taken you over, you go down, it comes up and it uses your faculties as a medium of expression and it fulfills its nature. It is very much happy to do so. You are very unhappy and you have become the victim of an evil spirit in your heart. How do you get it out of your life, through repentance and then casting it out of your life? If you want to punish an evil spirit, cast it out so that it has to go to dry places and manifest all of its personality then it will be in torment. Not you!

That is why the bible says to resist the devil and he shall flee and that we not to give no place to the devil. That’s why the bible says to keep ourselves pure from the works of evil. That is why we are supposed to have discernment. It also says to put things under our feet.

What does it mean to be pure spiritually? It means you are acting out of according to the nature of God as he created you from the beginning of the foundation of the world. That is spiritual purity.

Breaking Demonic Strongholds: What is spiritual impurity stronghold?

You are allowing the mentality and mind of the kingdom of Satan to operat through you influencing you, speak through you, act through you and do drastically deeds through you. That is spiritual impurity. You can deal with your emotions all you want, but if you don’t deal with the spirit behind it, it will be a long life struggle to overcome it with your inner man.

Jesus said in Mark 7:20-23

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

What is verses 20-23 saying? What is in the heart of man (your heart is the human spirit), expresses itself out of a man in a thought, a word or an action. That is in the spiritual dynamics of a man that manifests and comes up and out through thought, word or deed.

Now when someone stronger than the strongman shall come upon him and overcome him and take away from him all his armor wherein he trusted and divided his spoils.

What is spoils? It is a term of war. When you go in and overcome an enemy, you get all of his goods. The spoils of bitterness, has seven areas that are important to him (unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger/wrath, murder – they are the underlings to bitterness) it his purpose for being. He’s trusting that when you deal with the root of bitterness he trusting with all of his might sitting in your house that resentment is as far as you are going to go. Then anger/wrath will want to pump it up and get it back in its life. These are the things he is trusting in that he can keep his position in ruler ship because he is sitting on his throne in your castle (your house). It is trusting it can control you with its armor and its armor is what other spirits lesser than itself.

Luke 11 the strongman armed is the principality or evil spirit that lives in your palace and his goods are in peace. What are his goods? Means every bit of his kingdom (underlings or other spirits) that he’s banking on to control you is in place and operating very well. If you are dealing with a root of bitterness, all 7 of these are working somewhere in you (unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger/wrath, murder). Murder can be murder of the tongue or physical murder. All seven of these are the goods that are in peace. For example, when the principality of the unloving spirit there are good which are for example are self-hatred, self-pity, self-rejection, self-idolatry, selfishness, self-accusation, etc.
