Healing Through the Pain by Sheila Says

My name is Sheila. I started being abused at the age of 3 years old. It continued on until I was in my 50’s. I have had multiple broken bones and surgeries that I have recovered from. I have learned through my experience that this kind of pain is temporary. Where the wounds from sexual, physical, and verbal abuse are entirely different.

These wounds do not heal quickly as do physical wounds. I have said many times that I would rather have a broken bone than deep emotional wounds. This book is about the healing of deep emotional wounds that no doctor, psychiatrist, or counsel can help heal. When I started with my healing of these, I found out that there was only one healer who could do this for me. I started giving them all to Jesus. He turned my don’t cry into tears for healing. He turned I don’t be seen or heard into a voice. He turned my silent screams that no one hears but you in to let them out and express yourself.

Through this difficult journey, I found the most wondrous healing happen to me that was beyond my dreams. Once I let the scab that was over these wounds be peeled off and let the pus of infection out. The wounds began to heal. I had never let the scab come off so that the healing could happen. Now that I’ve done that, there is no more scab and the pus underneath is gone. Jesus applied the healing balm of Gilead to me and now the healing is complete.

I’ve physically died three times throughout my life. Almost died another four. I know that I’m a miracle of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. When I died the last time, he cared enough to take me to hell and then heaven. I have no words for my appreciation and gratitude for that. He has done for me what no one else could.

This is a book that is about my journey of all the horrors of abuse that happened to me and how Jesus found me, lifted me up, saved my soul, and healed me. My prayer is that this book will show you a way to the same healing. I know that if he could do this for me that he can do this for you also.
