When Praying or Fasting in Secret – don’t be a Hypocrite like the Pharisees that had to let the world know what they were doing to prove their spirituality. We should pray and fast in secret; otherwise, the heart is not in the right attitude to hear from the Lord. The Lord had something to say about it in scripture.
The Lord says in Matthew 6:5 “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.”
