You must change your mindset and line your mind with the Word of God. Renewing your mind Scriptures of Truth from the Word of God.
Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
2 Corinthians 4:16 – For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.
1 Peter 1:13 – Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 4:23 – And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
To remain free from victim mentality spirit, you must change your poor thinking to God’s way of thinking through the word of God. Otherwise, you will wrestle with a victim spirit which will attract other demons to assault you. One of the spirits briefly mentioned is the predator spirit.
The preditor spirit partners up with the victim mentality. This spirit comes and inflicts physical and emotional pain. Next is the Poverty Spirit that steals your inheritance, finances, etc. Are you one of those who cannot accept that you deserve good things? It manifest in many ways such as false humulity. How about being satisfied with less than God’s best for them? Do you settle for less and not believe for the best?
The one who abuses you, use you, manipulates you or intimidates you if husband or boss or family members is a spirit of Jealousy. When something good does come your way, does the ones around you get jealousy and tear it down? Do you allow it? Turning it around, do you get jealousy when others around you get blessed? These spirits all work together.
Welfare Spirit
Another spirit is welfare spirit. A welfare spirit does not own up to the problem. It will go find someone to solve the problem and to blame. We need to be problem solvers.
Self-Pity Spirit
When someone has been hurt, abused, rejected, this can open the door to the spirit of Self-Pity spirit. It is a demon that is given permission to take root in us when we are Unforgiving or even Passive-Aggressive…. This evil spirit of self-pity is a spirit that will bind you to your hell as if with super glue and not allow you to go on to the future. That is the purpose of self-pity spirit to not fulfill the calling the Lord has for you. It keeps you from forgiving those who abused you but also keeps you in abuse – stuck attracking all the wrong men.
For instance, see Judg. 19:25; 2 Sam. 13: 1-20; John 10:10. When victimization produces trauma, demons often attach themselves to the wounded individual to advance the diabolical cycle of events. The victim’s fear, intimidation, self-pity, and hopelessness are now satanically supercharged.
Dealing with Pain of Victim Mentality
- First step is to forgive those who abused you.
- Second step is to refuse to replay negative memories after you have forgiven them. We want to keep a record of wrong.
- Third step is to see yourself as a victor in Christ and not as a victim.
- Fourth Step is going through deliverance.
Overcoming a Victim Mentality Prayer
Father God I choose to forgive those who used me, hurt me, abused me physically, sexually, mentally or spiritually. I forgive ___________________ from my heart and let them go free. I tear up the note against them and let them go free. Amen.
Father God, today I choose life when I’ve wanted to die many times. Today I choose life to serve you and to be obedient to your word. Father God forgive me for abusing my body such as eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, bingeing, excessive fasting, self-mutilation (cutting, tattoos, piercing or damaging behavior of overeating, stealing, drug use, rage, criminal activity, nicotine abuse, alcohol, sexual sin and perversion. Amen.
“Father God on behalf of myself and ancestors I repent for not allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and for not asking for help as we saw it as a weakness. I acknowledge I do need help, particularly Your help Lord Jesus Christ because I cannot do all things in my own strength – Amen”.
Dear God I repent for allowing the enemy to keep me and my ancestors down, especially when feeling it was our penance or duty to keep accepting this abusive treatment. I repent of all self belief of unworthiness, and not believing we deserved better. I repent for allowing this abuse to continue as a way to receive attention. I forgive all the people (name them if able) who have abused, victimized and traumatized me and my family.
“Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ on behalf of my ancestors and myself I repent for the times we have spiritually, physically, emotionally, verbally and sexually abused ourselves or others. I choose to forgive myself and receive the Lord’s forgiveness – Amen”.
I choose to forgive those who have hurt me, abuse me, used me or bullied me in any way. I tear up the note against them and give them to the Lord for the Lord to deal with them. I receive your forgiveness for all unforgiveness towards others. Amen.
I bind the spirits of victimization spirits, predator spirit, poverty spirit, self-pity spirit, rejection, self-hatred, dishonor, false pride, jealousy, unforgiveness, spiritual oppression, unclean spirits, , emotional pain, spiritual pain, anxiety, stress, fear, despair, guilt, shame, helpless, denial, agony, worthless, damaged good, distrust, etc. I break its power and send it to dry places. Father God, I break all ungodly soul ties attachment from myself to all abusers and command the abuser, independent and victim spirits, as well as all demon on soul ties to go to the dry places now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I break all programming default of negative thinking or wrong thinking or wrong mindsets and choose to put on the mind of Christ and believe the Word over all negative words spoken over me that were not of love. I do deserve to be treated with respect, honor and in high regards as a human. Amen.
I declare I am no longer a victim and a target for abuse. In the name of Jesus Christ I declare I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Amen”. I choose today to see myself as a child of the king. I receive since I am bought with a price that I am a royal priesthood and can walk with my head up high and that I do deserve good things from God. I choose to accept the best from the Lord and not take the least again. Amen.
