How to Stop the spirit of self pity and depression.  The spirit of self pity is a spirit that will bind you to your hell of your past as if with super glue and not allow you to go on to the future. When you have self-pity – depression follows.  That is the purpose of the spirit of self-pity to not fulfill the calling the Lord has for you.  Another way of looking at it is living in the land of the garbage and when you are reminded of the past and replay the past, it is like rolling in that stinky garbage.   Self-Pity is negative thinking – thinkin thinkin.  Your feeling sorry for yourself.

The enemy was there when bad events happened in your life and the enemy is good to remind you and get you to replay.Why!  He wants to build strongholds in your mind such as unforgiveness, self-unforgiveness manifesting as self hatred, being hard on self and not allowing you to forgive yourself from past mistakes or replay what others have done to you to keep you from forgiving those who hurt you.  This creates self pity depression of heaviness and oppression.  The enemy does not want you free and will keep you in your past pains and hurt.

Symptoms of Self-Pity

The spirit of self pity is accusing spirits will accompanying the sin of Self pity depression and hold you fast – into feeling so sorry for yourself that life no longer works for you. So, it is essential to let go of the past if we are to move into a new future potential of liberty in Christ. Otherwise, you are stuck not able to move forward to the things Christ has preordained you to be.

Demons usually come in groups, not just one at a time, and the one who gains entrance, helps the others to come in. When the spirit of self pity depression speaks, it can lead to defeatism coming in, which then leads to the downward spiral of depression, and feeling worthless and despairing. Feeling worthless and despairing can also then lead to all sorts of bondage’s– alcohol, sex, drugs, overeating, anorexia because of feelings of being worthless.

Not only that, if you are sick, will not allow you to be well mentally. When your mind is sick, then your body can start to decay – the mind, body and soul connection. Everything is connected. Every negative thought releases negative chemicals producing disease.

How Not to Have Self Pity

How to stop wallowing in self pity.  The spirit of self pity depression must be surrendered to God for God to miraculous heal you – healing your wounded heart syndrome. One of the most effective ways to destroy the habit of feeling sorry for one’s self, is first of all to focus on God. Look at his creation and praise him. Several ways to surrender self-pity depression:

Many times unforgiveness or self-unforgiveness is the key holding the spirit of self pity into place. That means doing what the word says and letting go and forgiving those who have hurt you.  How many of you have a hard time forgiving self?  Do you live in the land of regrets and reminded continuously?

Is Self-Pity Sin?

Yes, Self-Pity is Sin.   Self-pity is depression.  The devil gets you to replay over and over again the event keeping you as a victim of your past.  He wants you not to forgive others and stay stuck in misery with unforgiveness, anger and hatred, resentment, rebellion of all sorts, even a murderous thoughts to self or others leading to a bitter broken heart.  You feel hurt what others did to you.  Self-pity spirit – become a victim of what others have done, said to you.

What is self-pity?  It is a demon or familiar spirit that knows what has happened to you and projects fiery darts in your mind.  The more that demon gets you to replay the hurt the stronger the stronghold becomes.  You are in bondage to your deep emotional pain.  The demonic influence does not want you free and knows when stuck in self-pity you will not fulfill the plans of God in your life or the callings.  You are stuck in the past.  It is hard for you to praise the Lord for the smallest of things. We are to praise the Lord in all things but with self-pity or a broken heart, you have a hard time praising the Lord in anything.  You are in misery.  You have a demonic oppressive spirit, spirit of heaviness leads to depression and sadness – a broken heart because of the demonic influence and listening to the demonic spirits speaking and reminding you what others did to you.

How to Overcome Self-Pity and Depression:

How do I overcome self-pity and depression?  The spirit of self pity can be a spiritual stronghold of thinking and might need more help such as deliverance prayers. Jesus came setting the captives free from generational curses, bondage’s, demon possession, through spiritual warfare by renewing the mind, etc.

Father God, I choose to forgive those who hurt me.  I tear up the note against them and give them to you, Lord.  I choose to let them go free from all the things they did to me or did not do for me.  Your Word says I’m suppose to forgive those who hurt me, persecute me and use me and bless them.  I choose today to forgive all my enemies and pray for them.  Forgive me for walking in rebellion against you.  I receive your forgiveness.

Father God, I admit I have self-hatred spirit coming out of unloving spirits for not being able to forgive myself for past mistakes, or past life issues I had no control of.  I even forgive those who made me feel lessor or worthless.  I am a child of the Lord most high and choose to tear up the note against me and forgive me and start loving who God created me to be.  Thank you Lord for helping me to love myself and not be so hard on self.  I receive your forgiveness.

Father God, I choose to stop playing the past and take responsibility and cast down negative thoughts or replay my past hurts according to 2 Cor. 10:14-16.  I choose to live in the present and not in the past.  I receive your forgiveness.

Father God, I choose to not walk as a victim but as a victor in you.  Amen.

Father God, I repent and renounce the following spirits:  I renounce the spirit of self pity depression, victimization spirits, heaviness, oppression, depression, rebellion, unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger, wrath, hatred and violence and also I repent and renounce self-unforgiveness, self-resentment, self-retaliation, self-anger, self-wrath, self-hatred, self-violence, self-murder, self-accusation, self-rejection, a spirit of fear, anxiety, stress, worry.  I bind these spirits, break its power off of my life and cast these demonic spirits out of my life now and send them to the dry places now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

Father God, I call on your spirit to wash me clean with your shed blood, fill me with your spirit and fill me with your love and remove all barriors that have separated me from you.  Amen.
