There are generational sins and iniquity that can repeat in family situations. When you look backwards, you see it in your grandparents. When you look sideways, you see the same pattern with your aunts and uncles. You look in your current family, and you see the same patterns with your sisters, brothers and within yourself. - Divorce
- Abortion
- Addictions (pornography, drugs, alcohol, shop-a-holic, etc.)
- Hording
- Children born out of wedlock
- Murder
- Drunkenness
- Unfaithfulness
- Women marrying men who are abusive
- Women who are controling
- Same sicknesses and diseases
- The same mental issues
- Poverty spirit
- lack of nurtering
- hardness of heart
- occult or witchcraft involvement
- and many more issues
It is good to assess your family tree and learn as much as you can. For example, my family, on my mom’s side, all die with cancers. Also, they all have addiction to cigarettes. Before my mom died, I learned that way back my family were tobacco growers. I knew then that is how the curse came in for the nicotine addiction that opens the door to a spirit of death.
The blessings of the Lord go for a 1000 generations so it is always good to look at the blessings in your family tree. Take the time to read Deut. 28:1-64 to see blessings or curses that can run in families.
